Voters Easily Approve Merrick School Budget, Incumbents Re-Elected to BOE
Merrick residents headed to the polls Tuesday.

Merrick residents approved a 2016-17 school budget on Tuesday.
The $48.1 million budget was approved by a margin of 688 to 206. The budget is a 2.55 percent increase over the current year.
Residents also re-elected Gina Piskin, with 703 votes and Sigal Negrin, with 633 votes to the school board to three-year terms.
