Merrick School Election Results Are In

The results are in for all of the Merrick school districts, and the budgets all passed.
The Merrick School District budget passed, with 813 yes to 310 no votes.
In North Merrick, the budget also passed, 829 to 331, according to Newsday.

And in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District passed, 3,333 to 2,066.

In Merrick, Pamela Banks, Nancy S. Kaplan and Linda Wilk won seats on the Board of Education. They earned 740, 554, and 533 votes, respectively. They defeated Gabrielle Curcio, with 453, and Richard J. Soleymanzadeh, with 272.
For North Merrick, Newsday reported Michelle Gordon and Vincent Lentini won seats on the Board, with 531 and 586 votes, respectively. They defeated Steve Enella and Todd Ransom.
In the CHSD, voters also overwhelming approved the creation of a capital reserve fund, 3,741 to 1,600.
