Merrick Voters Approve $19.8 Million Bond
BREAKING: The money will be used for improvements across the district.

Voters in the Merrick School District approved a proposed $19.8 million bond Tuesday night.
The bond was approved 361 to 167. The money will pay for improvements across the district. The largest of which is a 5,800 square foot addition to the Chatterton School. The money will also pay for masonry repairs in all three buildings, bathroom improvements, additional parking and adding air conditioning to all classrooms.
"The district will continue to keep the community updated on the project’s timeline, as the plans are approved by the state, the projects are put out to bid and the renovation work begins," said Superintendent Dr. Dominick Palma. "Again, thank you for your support!"
