Merrick’s American Idol Gets Through Hollywood Round One

“You’re going to Hollywood,” were the words that Robbie Rosen was relieved to hear from the American Idol judges just a few short weeks ago.

Now in Hollywood after another round of auditions, Rosen made it through with Randy Johnson saying “Congratulations.”

Rosen’s Hollywood audition Thursday, made a visible impression on judge Steven Tyler.

“Wow. Yea,” Tyler said as Rosen hit a high note during his performance of “Moody’s Mood for Love.”

As Rosen exited, he told the camera, “I am living my dream. This is like, the coolest thing that I have ever done in my entire life,” he said.

Rosen made his premiere on FOX's American Idol on Jan. 19, wowing the judges with a rendition of John Lennon’s “Yesterday.”

Rosen is also a star athlete and student at Calhoun.
