Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt After Colliding With Car: Nassau PD

NORTH MERRICK, NY — A man on a motorcycle was seriously injured Tuesday night. The 51-year-old victim, who was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson just after 9 p.m., collided with a vehicle while heading south on Merrick Avenue, police said.

The motorcyclist was attempting to turn onto Jerusalem Avenue when the crash took place, police said.

The man was taken to an area hospital with multiple trauma injuries and was in serious condition, detectives said.

A 51-year-old woman, who was driving the vehicle that crashed into the motorcycle, remained at the scene and had minor injuries, police said.

The motorcycle and vehicle were impounded for a brake and safety check, according to police.
