Nassau Man Attacked Another With Machete: Police
Police say the victim had cuts on his face and ears from the attack.

Nassau County police arrested a Uniondale man on Sunday after they say he robbed another man and attacked him with a machete.
According to police, they received a 911 call for a man armed with a machete attacking another man on Duryea Avenue in Uniondale at 12:55 a.m. When they arrived, police say they saw Pierre Fede, 29, of Hempstead Boulevard, running away from the scene while holding a machete. Police arrested him without incident.
The the 25-year-old victim had suffered cuts and bruises to his face and ear, and was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, which weren't life threatening. Police say that victim's cell phone and cash were stolen by Fede.

Fede is charged with first- and second-degree robbery as well as first- and second-degree assault. he is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Monday.
