21-Year-Old Charged in Death of Merrick Man

He will be arraigned on Saturday.

UPDATE, JUNE 14: Police say 21-year-old Ryan D. Lindquist, of Massapequa, has been arrested in connection with Grabelsky's death. He will be arraigned on Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead. Police did not say what charges Lindquist faces.

UPDATE, JUNE 3: Police have identified the man who was killed as Evan Grabelsky, 32, of Merrick.

According to his LinkedIn page, Grabelsky was a director of Camp Iconic, a summer camp in North Bellmore. He was also a former special education paraprofessional at Great Neck North High School.

ORIGINAL STORY: A Merrick man was found stabbed to death inside his home Saturday night, Nassau police said.

According to News 12, the 32-year-old man was killed inside his home on Elliot Street a little before midnight.

Newsday reported that the stabbing did not appear to be random.

Police say the investigation is ongoing. They have not yet released the name of the victim.
