Nassau Man Robbed While Walking From His House to His Car

BREAKING: The robber chased him and stole his phone and cash.

A man was robbed while walking from his home to his car in Uniondale early Friday morning.

According to detectives, the 58-year-old man was walking from his George Avenue residence to his car at 4:45 a.m. when he was approached from behind by an unknown man that demanded cash and his cell phone.

The man, being fearful, ran behind his car and fell to the ground. The robber reached into his pocket and took his cell phone and cash. The robber then fled on foot south on Cewell Avenue.

The is a black man, 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a husky build, dark hooded sweatshirt and Jamaican accent.

Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
