Nassau Man Was Driving With 36 License Suspensions: Police

Police pulled him over after he was seen speeding, and discovered he never should have been behind the wheel.

A Roosevelt man was arrested Monday evening after police pulled him over and say he was found to be driving with three dozen license suspensions.

According to police, officers saw a 2018 Honda Accord speeding on Lee Street in Roosevelt just after 5:30 p.m. The officers pulled the car over, and during the investigation, found that the driver, Raymond Renwick, 34, of East Fulton Street, had his license revoked and had it suspended 36 times. As police were placing Renwick under arrest, they say they also found marijuana in his possession.

Renwick is charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marijuana and three other traffic violations. He is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Tuesday.
