UNIONDALE, NY — A Nassau teenager is in serious condition after he was assaulted — possibly by gang members — outside his school Wednesday afternoon, police said. The 15-year-old boy was leaving Uniondale High School at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday when he was confronted by a group of men at the corner of Walnut Street and Leslie Lane, police said.
Police said the group attacked the boy, who suffered a non-lethal stab wound and was also hit in the head with a baseball bat. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
Police ask anyone with information about the assault to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
