Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. Our staff offers a wide range of social and employment services, including: • Development of a personalized self-sufficiency plan • Case management and referrals • Employment services, job search skills, and work experience opportunities • Outreach and community support • Social and cultural adjustment assistance • English language support • Help with school, benefits, and local resource navigation • Transitional services and employment retention support We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. UNIONDALE, NY — A Nassau teenager is in serious condition after he was assaulted — possibly by gang members — outside his school Wednesday afternoon, police said. The 15-year-old boy was leaving Uniondale High School at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday when he was confronted by a group of men at the corner of Walnut Street and Leslie Lane, police said. Police said the group attacked the boy, who suffered a non-lethal stab wound and was also hit in the head with a baseball bat. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition. Police ask anyone with information about the assault to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
