Nassau Woman Drove High With 6-Month-Old In Car: Police

BREAKING: She allegedly swerved across lanes of traffic and almost caused multiple accidents.

Nassau County police arrested a woman from Hempstead after she allegedly was driving high on the Southern State Parkway and almost caused multiple accidents.

According to police, Marion E. Glass, 29, of Terrace Avenue, was seen driving her black 1998 Nissan Sentra westbound on the Southern State Parkway and allegedly drifting across multiple lanes, causing other drivers to swerve out of the way to avoid a crash.

Nassau police and New York State Troopers tried to get Glass to stop, but failed. She got off the Southern State at exit 23 and allegedly almost caused a head-on collision before she was eventually stopped on Meadowbrook Road and Lednam Court. Police say that officers determined Glass was allegedly driving while under the influence of drugs with her 6-month-old son in the car.
