Wyld Chyld Tattoo Studios, headquartered in Merrick, opened its seventh location at 2560 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow Saturday.
"We have had such great feedback from our Long Island clients, so when we saw an opportunity to expand into East Meadow we had to act on it," Bill DeLuso, founder and CEO of Wyld Chyld Tattoo Studios said. "The Wyld Chyld Tattoo brand has been looking to increase its presence and give back to Nassau County for some time."
Wyld Chyld Tattoo was voted Best of Long Island in January. In addition to the Merrick and East Meadow locations, it also has studios located in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Florida and Puerto Rico.
The grand opening included a carnival side show act, live music, appearances from music and tattoo industry celebrities, free food, giveaways and contests.
"Even though we have shops around the country, our home is on Long Island," DeLuso said.
