New York Football Heroes are coming to Freeport, NY!

New York Giant Heroes, USA Football Coaches to teach athletic skills, football skills and life skills to kids ages 6-14

In what many kids consider “the best sports week of summer,” the New York Heroes Youth Football Camp will come to Freeport’s Long Island Sports Complex, from July 13-17 for one week of non-contact football instruction and fun. Kids ages 6 to 14 are welcomed to attend.

New York Heroes Youth Football Camps are led by professional, USA Football certified coaches with support from New York Giant Alumni Heroes like Stephen Baker, Billy Taylor and Rodney Hampton.

In a safe, non-contact football format, kids learn to run, throw, catch, defend, form block, form tackle and develop speed for the tackle or flag football game. Newcomers are also encouraged to attend.

“With USA Football coaches and New York Giant Alumni leading the way, kids gain real confidence.” says Mike Gross, Operations Director for New York Heroes Youth Football Camps. “It starts with quality instruction and repetition, so kids have a real chance to learn. Inside those goals, we have to make it fun. We are able to do that with a great plan, an age appropriate curriculum and lots of very positive people.”

Within the skill development goals, the New York Heroes consider teaching USA Football’s Heads Up Football curriculum a top priority, especially for the tackle-bound players.

“While our camp is non-contact, we do teach form and fit contact based on the Heads Up Football curriculum. We develop muscle memory. We give kids and parents an understanding why the Heads Up techniques are important. Kids become better, safer players.”

New York Heroes Youth Football Camps welcome local tackle, flag, cross-training and newcomers to the game. Kids should expect a physically active and athletically challenging camp with fun games to conclude each day.

Five day New York Heroes Youth Football Camps are available, starting at $269.

Nearly 30 camp locations are available.
