North Merrick Library Budget Passes

The North Merrick Public Library 2013-14 budget passed Wednesday after 65 percent of voters said yes, according to Director Tom Witt.

Community members voted yes 72 times with 38 opposing the budget.

Witt added that, Marion Schurade (incumbant running unopposed on the library board) received 90 votes, and there was also one write in vote for Rod Kovel.
