North Merrick Welcomes New Principal At Camp Avenue

Dr. Hillary Bromberg brings a wealth of experience with her to her new role in North Merrick.

The North Merrick School District appointed Dr. Hillary Bromberg as principal of Camp Avenue School starting for the 2018-19 school year. She replaced Ronald Reinken, who retired last spring.

Bromberg is an experienced elementary teacher and building administrator who previously served as principal of the Ruth C. Kenney School in East Islip. Additionally, she was an assistant principal at William T. Rogers Middle School and the Park View and Fort Salonga K-3 schools in Kings Park. Bromberg also taught various elementary grades in Hicksville, Jericho, Merrick, New York City and China.

Bromberg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Oneonta, a Master of Arts degree in Literacy from Hunter College, a Professional Diploma in Education Leadership Certification from SUNY Stony Brook and a Doctorate in Education from St. John’s University.
