Overnight House Fire In Nassau; Residents Forced To Evacuate: Police
The Catlin Avenue home went up in flames at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday.

ROOSEVELT, NY — A fire engulfed a home in Roosevelt early Wednesday.
The Catlin Avenue had flames shooting out of the structure just before 4 a.m.
All residents were safely evacuated by Nassau police and the Roosevelt Fire Department, authorities said. No other was reported injured.

Roosevelt extinguished the blaze with help from other nearby departments.
It does not appear to be a suspicious fire and was determined to have started from burning incense that ignited a mattress in the basement, police said.
