Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. FREEPORT, NY. — A 60-year-old woman was in critical condition Saturday morning after a Toyota minivan struck her while she was crossing East Merrick Road, police said. Nassau County police said that the woman was struck by the 2003 minivan as it was turning left onto East Merrick Road at 7:49 a.m. Saturday, suffering serious physical injuries and being taken to the hospital. Police said the woman was in critical condition while the driver remained at the scene. Police did not report any arrests or charges related to the accident. Police did not identify the woman publicly Saturday.
