Police ID Body Found On Meadowbrook Parkway

The man was killed by a gunshot, police said, and then dumped on the side of the roadway.

New York State Police have identified the man whose body was found on the side of the Meadowbrook State Parkway earlier this week as a Queens man who was killed.

According to police, the body found on Monday was that of 37-year-old James Graham, of Jamaica. Graham had been killed by a gunshot wound, police said, and his body had been wrapped in a tarp and dumped on the side of the road.

According to state police, the body was discovered at 9:38 a.m. on Dec. 16 by road workers in the tree line off the Meadowbrook southbound ramp to exit M7 West, for Babylon Turnpike.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and is being handled by the New York State Police Major Crime Unit in conjunction with the New York City Police Department.
