Police Seeking Third Man, Red Car Connected to Armed Robbery at Nassau Car Dealership
The man is suspected to have helped two other men rob a used-car salesman earlier this week, police say.
NORTH MERRICK, NY - Police announced on Friday that they are looking for a third man believed to be involved in a armed robbery at a North Merrick used-car dealer earlier this week.
On Tuesday, two men, armed with a handgun, entered Jerusalem Auto, Inc. on 1345 Jerusalem Avenue at about 6:15 p.m., hit the salesman on the head with an unknown object and threw him to the ground, police said.
The robbers then stole cash from the salesman's pocket, his watch and wallet before fleeing the scene, police said.

The man was transported to a local hospital for a laceration to the face. He was treated and released.
The robbers were wearing black ski masks and hoods.

Police said Friday that there was a third man who was pretending to be looking at cars inside the lot to distract the salesman, allowing the other two men to hide inside the shop until he returned.
In addition, they are seeking a red car (pictured above) that is believed to be connected to the robbery.
