Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. ROOSEVELT, NY — A Roosevelt man was arrested for attempted murder. Nassau Police say Marcquise Porter, 22, was involved in a road rage incident with a 24-year-old man on Saturday afternoon. Porter is accused of firing several shots toward the victim's vehicle in Uniondale, police said. Police said Porter was located and placed under arrest on Monday. While in police custody, Porter was found in possession of crack cocaine. Along with a charge of second-degree attempted murder, Porter faces counts that include reckless endangerment and criminal use of a firearm. An investigation revealed Porter had an open bench warrant for unauthorized use of a vehicle in May. He was expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
