Road Rage Escalates With Shots Fired Into Vehicle: Police

Marcquise Porter faces counts that range from attempted murder to criminal use of a firearm, police say.

ROOSEVELT, NY — A Roosevelt man was arrested for attempted murder.

Nassau Police say Marcquise Porter, 22, was involved in a road rage incident with a 24-year-old man on Saturday afternoon.

Porter is accused of firing several shots toward the victim's vehicle in Uniondale, police said.

Police said Porter was located and placed under arrest on Monday. While in police custody, Porter was found in possession of crack cocaine.

Along with a charge of second-degree attempted murder, Porter faces counts that include reckless endangerment and criminal use of a firearm.

An investigation revealed Porter had an open bench warrant for unauthorized use of a vehicle in May.

He was expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
