After a few tense moments, Robbie Rosen and Merrick itself was able to take a deep breath as Rosen made it to the top 24 on FOX’s American Idol.
Rosen belted Elton John’s “Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word,” during his final audition in order to solidify his spot in the next round.
“When I walked on the stage, I feel like I left it all out there,” Rosen said. “I don’t think I have ever seen a group that is as talented as this one right now. If it’s the end of the line for me, whatever happens, I think it’s meant to be.”

“Robbie, man – so good, right out of the box. This is one of the hardest competitions and I’m positively sure that you made it through to the top 24,” said judge Steven Tyler, who has been consistently impressed with Rosen’s performances throughout the competition.
“Honestly, you’re one of the best singers we have here,” added Jennifer Lopez, a judge.

After a relieved-looking Rosen thanked the judges for putting him through, the three were not done speaking highly of the 17-year-old.
“You know what I love about him, is that he is so unassuming,” said judge Randy Jackson.
“He’s brilliant,” added Lopez.
“You wouldn’t even know that he’s a genius,” replied Jackson.
