Hempstead Town Supervisor Clavin Easily Wins Reelection
The Republican Town Clerk also claims victory from Board of Elections results.

HEMPSTEAD, NY — Don Clavin will get another term as Town of Hempstead supervisor. The Republican was way ahead of the Democrat Jason Abelove from Election Day results.
With 100 percent of the precincts in, Clavin was at 93,550 votes or 65.6 % for his second term.
In a tweet Wednesday morning, Clavin thanked the voters for "allowing me to continue my mission of providing good government to the people of Hempstead Town."

Abelove received 49,095 votes or 34.4%, according to the Nassau County Board of Elections.
Kate Murray had an even larger margin of victory in her Town Clerk race, a position she previously held in 2002 and 2003.

Murray had 90,071 votes, 63.45 %. Her opponent Olena Nicks received 51,808 votes, 36.5 %.
