  1. Police have identified the man who was killed in a traffic collision in Rockville Centre over the weekend. Scott Brower, 42, of Rockville Centre, was struck by a motorcycle while crossing north to south on Merrick Road near North Forest Avenue. The driver of the motorcycle, who has not been identified, is in serious condition in a local hospital. (Daily Voice)
  2. A man has been arraigned for manslaughter and other charges following the DWI death of his passenger in Elmont on Friday, December 3. Kwesi Williams, 41, of Queens, struck a parked car in Elmont while driving while intoxicated, police say. His 33-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at a local hospital. (Daily Voice)
  3. Foodies, mark you calendars! Taste the Greats is coming back to Long Island on April 21 at The Piermont. The event will feature a large selection of some of the most acclaimed area chefs.
  4. Where is your favorite Long Island Chinese restaurant? Locals weighed-in on the subject in the Best of Bethpage polls, and Kwong Ming came out on top. Kwong Ming has won the honor three years in a row. (Daily Voice)
  5. And here's another event to look forward to: The Great South Bay Music Festival is returning after three years off at Shorefront Park in Patchogue this July. The four-day family-friendly event will feature headliners GroupLove, Manchester Orchestra and Bayside. (Long Island Press)
