  1. Nassau County police are asking community members to help in their search for Genesis Martinez, a 15-year-old student at Uniondale High School. Martinez was last seen at the school around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23.   2. Sad news out of Long Beach: A man has died from injuries he sustained in a shooting that occurred on Saturday, March 19, in Long Beach. Police say Manuel Francis Hernandez, 37, of Queens, passed away Wednesday morning. An investigation into the crime that caused his death is ongoing. (Daily Voice)
  3. Local drama students are shaking off the dust and returning to the stage after a pandemic hiatus. Seaford Middle School is hosting performances of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" on April 1 and 2. Director Barbara Sherwin said the students have created "something magical" with this upcoming performance. (Patch)
  4. A local animal advocate has successfully rehomed petting zoo animals to sanctuaries. The critters of Crossroads Farm in Malverne are going into retirement after five years, says owner Andre Ricaud. John DiLeonardo, president of the advocacy group Long Island Orchestrating for Nature, urged the closure and assisted Ricaud in finding comfortable homes for the 40 ducks and chickens, three sheep, one turkey and one goose who lived at Crossroads Farm.   5. The Spring Craft Beer Festival is returning to Nassau Coliseum on Saturday after a pandemic-related hiatus. Heads up beer fans: general admission plus tickets are already sold out. That leaves general admission and designated driver tickets still available (for now). (Patch)
