Merrick resident joins half the universe in downtown New York to celebrate the Giants second Super Bowl championship in five seasons.
It's a good thing Russ Turrini saw his Giants win another Super Bowl title on Sunday, because he might not live to see another National Football League game.
Turrini, who brought his son and daughter to Manhattan to see the Big Blue ticker-tape parade, is traveling to Boston on Wednesday for a business trip.
"I'm wearing my Giants jersey," Turrini told the New York Times' The Fifth Down blog.

Turrini, who told the Times "the Giants are our life," locked up a viewing spot on the corner of Broadway and Cedar Street by 7:30 a.m.
For the record, Turrini took a vacation day. The kids skipped school. The math lesson could wait. The only numbers that mattered Tuesday?
