TOH To Provide Free PPE For Small Businesses

The giveaway is also for houses of worship and non-profit organizations.

MERRICK, NY — As more people gather indoors amid the delta variant of COVID-19, the Town of Hempstead is providing a free supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) to small businesses and houses of worship. Volunteer fire departments and non-profit organizations can also benefit from the supplies.

The giveaway is set for Wednesday, Sept. 22 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again this weekend from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. on both days at 2550 Clubhouse Rd. in Merrick.

"Small businesses and community organizations have been on the front lines throughout the pandemic," Town of Hempstead Supervisor Don Clavin said in a statement. "We thank them for their efforts and want to do our part to support them as they work hard to serve fellow neighbors safely and conveniently."
