Tree Removal Worker Critically Hurt From Falling Branch

The 19-year-old victim was rushed to a hospital after getting hit on the head, police say.

ROOSEVELT, NY — A man was seriously injured in a freak accident by a branch while working for a tree removal company on Wednesday afternoon in Roosevelt.

The 19-year-old man was struck with a falling limb on the top of his head just before 4:30 p.m., police said.

Officers responded to the worker, whose pulse was lost several times. He was transported to an area hospital and is listed in critical condition.
