Police ID Man Found Stabbed to Death in Front of Hempstead Bar

The man was stabbed after a verbal altercation in front of the bar early Sunday morning.

HEMPSTEAD, NY - Police have identified the man found stabbed to death in front of a Hempstead bar early Sunday morning.

The man was identified as 39-year-old Rolando Cruz, of Freeport.

HEMPSTEAD, NY - Three men stabbed a man to death in front of a Hempstead bar early Sunday morning, according to Nassau Police.

At about 1:10 a.m., the trio stabbed a man after a verbal altercation in front of El Nuevo bar on 219 Fulton Avenue, police said.

The man, who was transported to a local hospital, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by a staff physician at 1:35 a.m., police said.

There is no description of the men or further information about the man who was killed at this time, police said.
