Two Armed Men Rob Nassau Tax Business: Police

Police say the men kicked in the door where employees were and had them empty the register, then fled.

Police are searching for two men who broke into a tax service and robbed it at gunpoint Friday night.

According to police, the two men, armed with a handgun, entered Millenium Tax Service, located at 257 Nassau Road in Roosevelt, at 7:10 p.m. and demanded money. The men kicked in the wooden door to the booth where two female employees were sitting. The clerk opened the register and gave the men an undisclosed amount of cash. The two men then fled north on Nassau Road.

There were no customers in the store at the time, and no one was injured.

Police say the robbers were black men wearing dark clothes, hoods, masks and gloves.

Detectives ask anyone with information about this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
