Two Merrick Avenue Spaces up for Grabs

Two adjoining Merrick Avenue storefronts are looking for the perfect fit.

Although 22A and 24 Merrick Avenue are empty right now, owner Nina Hodara is anxious to rent these spaces and is open to any ideas.

"We are looking to rent to basically anybody who has a decent business that can stay in these spots and we entertain any idea," she said. "We have had a few people that are interested, but nothing has come through yet."

Hodara told Patch that she would rent the spaces either seperate or together depending on the needs of the businesses. Some of the benefits that slots have include backyards to fit a few cars for employees, an entrance from the back and big basements, in addition to a prime spot on Merrick Avenue just north of the train station.

Although Hodara said she would entertain any idea, she would like to see a bar, cafe or a restaurant take over the empty storefronts.
