1. Multiple people were taken to the hospital following a Bellmore NICE bus accident on Feb. 24. The incident occurred at the intersection of Merrick Road and Bellmore Avenue around 5 p.m. An investigation is underway. (lawyertime.com)
2. A Uniondale man has won the lottery for the second time. Juan Hernandez won $10 million in the $350,000,000 Cash Spectacular just two years ago. He won his second $10 million with a New York Lottery's $10,000,000 Deluxe scratch-off ticket purchased at a Hempstead Stop & Shop, the state lottery organization announced on Feb. 22. "I'm still trying to spend the $10 million I won in 2019," Hernandez said. (NBC New York)
3. A drunk driving crash closed LIE for hours on Sunday, Feb. 27, reports Joe Lombardi. Police say that Tracy Smith, age 30, veered off the roadway in Hauppauge and struck a Highway Patrol Bureau cruiser in the shoulder. Smith also hit a Ford in the roadway. No injuries are reported. Smith was charged with driving while under the influence. (Rutherford Daily Voice)
