Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. UNIONDALE, NY — A robbery took place last week in Uniondale and police are searching for the people involved. On Wednesday, the Walmart on Jerusalem Avenue was robbed just before 9:30 p.m., police said. An investigation revealed that <a href="https://www.longisland.com/news/08-07-22/8-people-rob-walmart-in-uniondale-and-threaten-security-with-stun-gun.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">seven men and one woman</a> entered the store and used three different shopping carts to grab electronics, including TVs and speakers, LongIsland.com reported. The items' value was in excess of $2,500. All eight people fled into three separate cars and, police said, no one was injured. The getaway vehicles are described as an older model Ford Eddie Bauer Edition Expedition, a 2020 or newer Nissan black Rogue and a late model silver Mercedes Benz, LongIsland.com said. Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
