Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. ROOSEVELT, NY — A woman was arrested on Sunday night for driving while intoxicated with a child in the car. An accident took place just before 9:30 p.m. at Babylon Turnpike and Cumberland Avenue. A Mercedez Benz with California registration crashed into a parked, unoccupied tow truck, police said. A woman was holding a four-year-old, who was bleeding from a cut to the forehead and a three-year-old boy, detectives said. The driver, Sheila Jadick, 31, of Westbury, was taken into custody and brought to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment, police said. The children were at a hospital and released to the custody of a family member, police said. Jadick was charged with two counts of DWI – Leandra's Law, one count of DWI and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Her arraignment was scheduled for Monday.
