The office of Immigration &amp; Refugee Services is recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice to counsel, process, file, and represent clients before the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and EOIR Immigration Court. Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. A Suffolk woman was arrested Tuesday evening after police say she was driving drunk with her young daughter in her car. According to police, officers responded to Merrick Road and Clubhouse Road in Merrick at 6:41 p.m. for a call of an unresponsive woman in the driver's seat of a 2016 Nissan Altima. Police say that the driver, Stephanie Quinones, 29, of Court Drive North, Melville, had slurred speech, glassy and bloodshot eyes, and a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. Quinones's 23-month-old daughter was in the car with her. Quinones was placed under arrest, and the child was released to a family member. Quinones is charged with aggravated DWI (Leandra's Law), DWI, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police say she will be arraigned when medically practical.
