Year Ending Fundraiser For Hebrew School Seeks $300,000 Goal
Merrick's Chabad Center is holding the drive through Wednesday, with all donations getting tripled.

MERRICK, NY — An end-of-year fundraiser is wrapping up at the Chabad Center for Jewish Life in Merrick.
Donations made through Wednesday will automatically get tripled. All contributions are tax-deductible.
"Every dollar donated stays within our communities," the Chabad Center said.

The fundraiser reached more than $158,000 of its $300,000 goal through Tuesday morning.
Money donated will go toward a new play space and a library for students of the preschool, Camp Gan Israel and the Hebrew school. Additionally, funds will support scholarships, ensuring that all Jewish children, regardless of their financial circumstances.
