1 Dead In Car-Motorcycle Crash In LaGrange
The sheriff's office said no charges have been filed at this time.
LAGRANGE, NY — A Putnam County man was killed as a result of a crash between a car and a motorcycle in Dutchess County. The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office said the collision occurred around 5 p.m. Monday on East Noxon Road at the intersection with South Cross Road in LaGrange.
The preliminary investigation found that a 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle being operated by Mark Graff, 54, of Putnam Valley, was traveling east on East Noxon Road when it tried to make a left turn onto South Cross Road.
While making the turn, Graff was struck by a 2004 Mercury Sable being driven by Matthew Brubacher, 32, of LaGrange.

Authorities said Brubacher was uninjured, but Graff was taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No charges have been filed at this time.

The Sheriff's Office Crash Investigation Unit is still investigating the crash, and the primary factor is considered to be the failure to yield the right of way on the part of the motorcyclist.
The LaGrange Fire Department assisted at the scene.
