1 Fatality In 3-Car Crash In Orange County
State Police are still investigating the crash.

WOODBURY, NY — A head-on car crash claimed the life of a Queens woman Saturday. State Police said they are investigating the accident which happened on State Route 6 in Woodbury.
Police said, around 1:10 p.m. Saturday, a 2017 Hyundai operated by Loreal Maldinaldo, 28, of Ozone Park, Queens County, was traveling west on Route 6 about a mile west of Long Mountain Circle when it crossed the double yellow line and struck an eastbound 2017 Ford van head on.
A 2008 Chevrolet van traveling west struck the Ford van as it came to a stop in the westbound lane.

The Hyundai caught fire, and passersby got its three occupants out before the fire spread.
Maldinaldo was pronounced dead at the scene. Her two passengers , a 13-year-old girl and a 21-year-old man, were taken to Westchester Medical Center where they are both listed in critical condition.

The Ford van’s driver — Nickelson Moreau, 36, of Nanuet — and his passenger were taken to Orange Regional Medical Center, where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
No one in the Chevrolet van was injured.
Police said Route 6 was closed for four hours and traffic was diverted to State Route 293. State Route 9W and the Palisades Interstate Parkway.
