1 Killed, 3 Injured In Wallkill Single-Car Crash
Police said the car went off the road and down an embankment.
WALLKILL, NY — A single-car crash claimed the life of a Bronx man and injured three others. State police said the accident happened around 12:30 p.m. Friday on State Route 17 in the Town of Wallkill.
The car was found down an embankment, fully engulfed in flames.
The investigation found that a 2007 Honda Accord was traveling west on Route 17 in the left lane.

It crossed both westbound lanes and left the roadway on the north shoulder where it went down the embankment hitting a tree and catching fire.
Troopers tried to put out the fire with extinguishers from their vehicles. The Circleville and Bloomingburg fire departments arrived put the fire out.

The operator of the vehicle — Brandon A. Moulton, 27, of the Bronx — could not be extricated from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other three occupants of the car were able to get out of the vehicle and were treated by the Town of Wallkill Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Hatzalah Volunteer Ambulance Service.
Alysha Nieves, 25, and Destiny Morales, 25, both of the Bronx were taken to Garnet Health Medical Center. A third occupant, a 3-year-old girl, was taken to Westchester Medical Center via medevac.
The cause of the crash is unknown. State police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the State Police Middletown at 845-344-5300.
