2 Accused Of Robbery In Dutchess County
Two victims suffered minor injuries in the incident, authorities said.
MILLBROOK, NY — Two Kingston men were accused of robbery in the Town of Washington. The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office said Christopher R. Arsenault, 32, and Salem E. Welborn, 31, both of Kingston, were arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred Tuesday evening.
The sheriff's office said, around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, deputies and the state police responded to 4957 Route 82 in Washington for a report of a possible burglary and robbery.
Deputies said Arsenault and Welborn entered the residence and forcibly stole property, including a purse, from the victims.

The two men had left the location in a car and were stopped a short time later just over the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge into Ulster County.

Arsenault and Welborn were charged with second-degree robbery, a felony.
After processing, they were sent to the Dutchess County Jail; Welborn without the possibility of bail and Arsenault in lieu of $50,000 bail or $100,000 bond.
The sheriff's office was assisted by the New York State Police, the Ulster County Sheriff's Office and police from the Town of Red Hook, City of Kingston and Town of Ulster.
The investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
