2 Arrested In East Fishkill Shooting, Robbery
Police said a large amount of marijuana was seized also.

EAST FISHKILL, NY — Two men were arrested in connection with a shooting that left a man wounded in the parking lot of the Acme supermarket in East Fishkill. State Police said Devin B. Byers, 30, of Youngstown, OH, was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree criminal use of a firearm, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, all felonies.
Sean T. Peterson, 28, of Beacon, was charged with first-degree robbery, a felony.
Police said, around 2:35 p.m. Feb. 25, a Trooper was flagged down on Route 82 and told there was a man with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of the supermarket.

The Trooper gave the man medical aid and provided information about the suspect to other law enforcement.
Byers and Peterson were found nearby fleeing the scene in a 2007 Honda CRV. They were stopped by a Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Deputy.

Authorities said a large amount of marijuana and a Springfield .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun were found.
The victim had a single gunshot wound in his leg. He was taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in stable condition.
Byers and Peterson were arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail or $150,000 bond.
