2 Arrested On Taconic State Parkway For Drug Possession
Their car had become disabled and a trooper pulled up.

EAST FISHKILL, NY — Two men from Queens and Long Island were arrested Saturday, March 3 for drug possession. State Police said Fabian B. Barrett, 34, of Uniondale, Nassau County, and Romique A. Meyers 35, of Saint Albans, Queens County, were both charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
On March 3, a trooper came up to a disable vehicle on the Taconic State Parkway near Carpenter Road in East Fishkill.

Police said the men were found to be in possession of about 5 ounces of cocaine and a small quantity of marijuana.

Barrett and Meyers were arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Court and were sent to the Dutchess County Jail with no bail.
Their next court appearance is scheduled for March 9.
