2 County Sheriff's Vehicles Involved In Crash

An unmarked sheriff's vehicle had initiated a traffic stop before the collision.

MARBLETOWN, NY — State police are looking into a crash that involved two Ulster County sheriff's vehicles. Police said the collision happened around 11 a.m. June 11 on Lucas Avenue in the Town of Marbletown.

The preliminary findings revealed that an unmarked county sheriff's vehicle, which was driven by Deputy Sheriff Robert Shamro, stopped another car for a vehicle and traffic law violation.

Shamro had the car's driver step out of his car to question him.
