2 Dead, 2 Critically Injured After Man Stabs Neighbors: Police
A feud between neighbors in Beekman has left two people dead and two others critically injured, authorities said.

BEEKMAN, NY — An argument between neighbors that turned violent has left two people dead and two others seriously injured, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said.
The incident involving multiple stabbings happened just before 11 p.m. Wednesday evening on Walnut Drive in Beekman.
Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene after emergency calls about a man reportedly stabbing several people.

Investigators believe Willem C. Salcius of Beekman started a fight with his neighbors, during which he stabbed three of them several times before taking his own life. In addition to the 32-year-old's death, one of the stabbing victims is also dead and two others are being treated at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said
Police today released the identities of the victims. William E. McGoortya, age 35, was declared dead at the scene. Robert M. McGoorty, age 30, and 58-year-old Edward M. McGoorty are said to have suffered life-threatening injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Dutchess County Medical Examiner, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Beekman Fire Department, Pawling Fire Department, Union Vale Fire Department, Town of Dover EMS, and EMStar.
The ongoing investigation will be handled by the Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau.
