UPDATE: Death Count Rises After Overnight Fire In Vacant House
The grisly discoveries were made by firefighters after the blaze was knocked down.

UPDATE: Fire Chief Mark Johnson said four bodies have been recovered as firefighters continue to monitor hot spots at the vacant house that burned down on Academy Street early Monday. Firefighters and investigators continue to go through the partially collapsed building.
Two bodies were found at about 4 a.m., more than three hours after the fire was discovered, when the blaze had been brought under enough control to make it safe to enter. The other two were found under part of the collapsed structure. The building, which had been vacant for some time and the four are believed to have been homeless, ABC 7 reported.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A fire overnight in an abandoned building killed two people, according to news reports. The building next to the Ethan Allen temp services agency took hours to subdue.
