2 Kids In Car When Driver Arrested For Felony DWI In Dutchess County: NYSP
The Bronx man refused to take a chemical breath test, after being arrested in the town of LaGrange, according to New York State Police.
LAGRANGE, NY — A Bronx man was arrested in Dutchess County for potentially putting the lives of two children at risk, according to state police.
On Saturday, around 2:35 a.m., New York State Police said that troopers from Poughkeepsie stopped an Infiniti traveling east on Noxon Road, in the town of LaGrange, for traffic violations.
While speaking with the driver, 43-year-old Jose R. Lorenzo, of the Bronx, the troopers noticed signs of intoxication, according to police. He was administered field sobriety tests, which he then failed, according to NYSP.

The troopers say that two children, a 5-year-old and an 11-year-old, were also in the vehicle at the time of the stop.
Lorenzo was arrested and taken to SP Poughkeepsie for processing, where he refused to submit to a chemical breath test, police said.

State police said the children were turned over to a sober party.
Paulino was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. He also received several traffic violations, according to police.
He is scheduled to appear in the Town of LaGrange Court on May 5.
