2 Killed In Dutchess County House Fire
One woman was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
MILLERTON, NY — A fire Saturday morning took the lives of two Millerton residents.
The New York State Police said the house fire in the village started around 8 a.m. at 5901 Route 22.
When troopers arrived, the house was engulfed in flames and they were told were there possibly two people still inside.

Police said an investigation found there were seven people staying in the home. Two had left the home before the fire began and three were able to get out of the home before local fire departments arrived.
After the fire was put out, two residents of the house were found dead inside, officials said.

They were Jenny Yang, 24, and Wangdi Tamang, 30, police said.
One of the residents who got out of the house — Amy Yang, 51 — was taken to Sharon Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
More than 50 firefighters responded to the fire, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported, which was brought under control shortly before noon.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, police said.
