“This event celebrates the extraordinary contribution made by libraries throughout Orange County,” Neuhaus said. “I’m excited to support this event which encourages Orange County Library patrons to learn and celebrate our library system. Libraries today are so much more than just a place to borrow books. They serve as the heart of a healthy community and a place for discovery for residents of all ages.”
OLA’s patrons will earn points by visiting Orange County libraries from Newburgh to Port Jervis and Pine Bush to Highland Falls as well as parks, trails, farmer markets, and museums in the County.

The Orange Library Association is excited to launch the Amazing Orange Scavenger Hunt in conjunction with our summer reading programs,” said Amazing Orange Libraries chairperson Patty Sussmann. “It’s a fun way for Orange County residents to discover what their public libraries have to offer, while also getting out and exploring our wonderful county by visiting parks, museums, and farmers’ markets. We thank County Executive Steve Neuhaus for his support for libraries and for joining us as we launch this exciting new event.”
