25-Year-Old Accused Of Stabbing Man To Death With Kitchen Knives

After an altercation, he grabbed kitchen knives from a home and repeatedly stabbed the victim, prosecutors contend.

NEWBURGH, NY — A New Windsor man will face the justice system in connection to a rage-fueled killing in Orange County.

Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced that 25-year-old Cameron Williams, of New Windsor, was arraigned on Wednesday in Orange County Court on an indictment charging second degree murder and related charges. He was remanded back to Orange County Jail in lieu of $1,000,000 cash bail, $3,000,000 fully secured bond and $10,000,000 partially secured bond and is next scheduled for a conference on December 4.

According to court documents, on October 13, around 10:45 p.m., after an altercation, Williams retrieved several kitchen knives from a home and approached a man who was lying down on West Parmenter Street and repeatedly stabbed him to death. An investigation by the City of Newburgh Police Department developed Williams as a suspect and led to his arrest.

The case is being prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Christopher Kelly.
