$2M Worth Of Illegal Drugs Seized, Poughkeepsie Man Arrested
Police said there was about 12 kilograms of cocaine and 42 pounds of marijuana.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A narcotics investigation ended with the seizure of more than $2 million worth of drugs. On Oct. 21, the State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, in cooperation with the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office, conducted the investigation that resulted in the arrest of Hughroy E. Thompson, 44, of Taylor Avenue in the City of Poughkeepsie.
He was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, felonies. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
As a result of the investigation, police seized about 12 kilograms of cocaine and 42 pounds of marijuana.

Thompson was arraigned in the Town of Fishkill Justice Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail with no bail.
