2nd Arrest In November Fatal Shooting

The man who was shot died the following day.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A city man was arrested and charged Wednesday with second-degree murder for a fatal shooting in November. Oba Johnson, 39, of the City of Poughkeepsie, is the second person to be arrested in the murder of Jacquain Johnson, who was found with a single gunshot wound in his chest Nov. 5 at 3 a.m.

In December, Terry Cherry, 37, was charged with second-degree murder, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.

Johnson was in a bar before the shooting. He was taken to the hospital and died the following day.
